Club Field Trips - 2021

Monthly field trips occur on the first Friday of the month and Sunday field trips occur every other month, times as indicated. All participants are asked to sign the attendance book. Field trips will proceed irrespective of the weather. Leaders will always turn up except for venues at risk during high fire danger warnings. Wear sturdy shoes and bring along the following - Binoculars, Hat, Sunscreen, Insect repellent, Water, Morning tea and lunch plus a chair. A field guide is optional.Please note the club is unable to accept those under 18 years of age at field trips unless accompanied by an adult.

  • April

    Fri 9th: Lake Cathie Village and Lakeside Tracks. Meet 08:00am at the Lake Cathie Foreshore Reserve car park.(Map Link) Leader: Ken Monson. Habitat: Woodland & Seashore. Gradient: Easy. Changed from Cattai Wetlands due to flood damage. The Cattai Wetlands field trip is deferred to Fri 4th June.

  • Sun 18th: Kooloonbung Creek NR and the Lake Rd settlement ponds. Meet 08:00am in Hollingsworth St at the the Guide Hall carpark.(Map Link) Leader: Jenny Lester. Habitat: Woodland and Wetland. Gradient: Easy with slight inclines.

    Fri 7th: Dunbogan area, STP and A.McCombries (Private Property). Meet 08:00am at Apex Park, Reid St. Laurieton just before the Dunbogan Bridge.(Map Link) Leader: Ted Giblin. Habitat: Woodland and Estuarine. Gradient: Easy with some inclines.

    Fri 4th: Cattai Wetlands. Meet 08:30am in the wetlands' car park at the end of Springhill Rd, off the Pacific Hwy at Coopernook.(Map Link) Leader: Ken Monson. Habitat: Woodland and Wetland. Gradient: Easy with some inclines.
