Club Field Trips - 2024

Monthly field trips occur on the first Friday of the month and Sunday field trips occur every other month, times as indicated. All participants are asked to sign the attendance book. Field trips will proceed irrespective of the weather. Leaders will always turn up except for venues at risk during high fire danger warnings. Wear sturdy shoes and bring along the following - Binoculars, Hat, Sunscreen, Insect repellent, Water, Morning tea and lunch plus a chair. A field guide is optional. Please note the club is unable to accept persons under 18 years of age at field trips unless accompanied by an adult.

    Friday 7th. Lake Cathie - Village and Lakeside Tracks. Meet 08:30 at Lake Cathie Foreshore Reserve carpark.(Map Link). Woodland & Shorebirds. Gradient: Level. Leaders Terry & Elaine McCarthy.

    Sunday 16th. Dunbogan area. Meet 08:30 at the Reid St, Apex Park car park just before the bridge.(Map Link) Woodland & Waterbirds. Gradient: Fairly easy. Leaders: Julia & Peter Hudd

    Friday 5th. Sancrox and Rawdon Island area + AGM. Meet 08:30 in the Sancrox Reserve car park in Colvin St.(Map Link)Woodland & Waterbirds. Gradient: Easy. Leaders Julia & Peter Hudd.

    AGM will be at 1:00pm in the picnic shelter at Sancrox Reserve.

    Sunday 21st. Kooloonbung Creek and surrounds. Meet 08:30 at the Guides Hall in Hollingsworth St. Port Macquarie.(Map Link)Woodland and waterbirds. Gradient: Fairly easy. Leaders - Les Mitchell & Jenny Lester.

    Friday 2nd. Stuarts Point and Grassy Head. Meet 08:30 in the car park beside the Stuarts Point caravan park.(Map Link)Woodland and Seabirds. Gradient: Easy. Leaders - Julia & Peter Hudd.

  • Sunday 18th. Kattang Nature Reserve. Meet 08:30 at the Reserve car park in Bergalia Crescent, Camden Head.(Map Link)Woodland and Seabirds. Gradient: Some inclines. Leaders - Ian Kerr & Jenny Lester.

  • Friday 6th. Wingham Brush, Bight Cemetery & Bootawa Dam. Meet 08:00 at Farquar St entrance,Wingham.(Map Link) Woodland & Waterbirds. Gradient: Easy. Leader - Clive Meadows.

    Saturday 14th - TBA

    Monday 23rd - Friday 27th. Spring Campout - Warren. Staying at Macquarie Caravan Park, Warren.
